Theoretical physicist, best known as the chief architect of the Indian atomic energy program.

Homi Jehangir Bhabha was an Indian nuclear physicist, founding director, and professor of physics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

Being a nuclear physicist, he played an important role in the Quantum Theory. He also becomes the first Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India.

One of the foremost Indian scientists, he was instrumental in the scientific progress of the country by setting up India’s first atomic research center i.e. Bhabha Atomic Research Institute(BARC) and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research
